A surgical oncology expert specialising in the treatment of colorectal cancer and abdominal hernia surgery. He gained experience in leading clinics in Europe. He performed more than 1,000 colorectal surgery procedures with the use of the da Vinci robotic system and more than 200 robotic abdominal hernia procedures.
Doctor Draus trained and evaluated the work of surgical oncology specialists using the da Vinci robotic system in more than 40 clinics in Sweden, Norway, Finland, France and Switzerland.
He has developed a team from scratch providing comprehensive cancer patient care and diagnostic procedures, as well as the system of Fast Track Surgery, minimally invasive surgery (using the da Vinci surgical robot), postoperative care and complementary cancer treatment.
Doctor Draus has been a member of the Association of Doctors in Sweden and the Royal Society of Surgeons since 2003. In 2008, he joined the European Society of Coloproctology. In 2013, he became a member of the Clinical Robotics Surgery Association, and in 2015 he joined the European Hernia Society.
He has presented at regional and international colorectal surgery conventions in Barcelona, Chicago, Hong Kong and Durham.

Medicover Hospital’s laboratory testing and diagnostic imaging equipment, multidisciplinary medical teams and ICU ensure comprehensive care. In emergencies that require transport to another centre, Medicover Hospital coordinates the patient’s transport process.
Admission to the hospital
Step by step
During a visit to the Consultation Centre, the doctor will discuss the state of your health, inform you about the treatment methods and risks associated with the treatment. They will make, in consultation with you, a decision on the necessary tests and examinations, treatments and the course of hospitalisation. If you decide to undergo treatment/surgery at our hospital, the doctor will issue a hospital treatment qualification card.
A meeting with the Hospital Care Coordinator who will show you around the hospital, and explain hospital admission and stay conditions and our payment policy.
Having signed the agreement, you will have to pay an advance (no later than 8 days before the scheduled date of hospitalisation).
The date of admission will be set with the doctor in consultation with you during the qualification visit. The Hospital Care Coordinator will contact you to confirm the time of your arrival at the hospital.
The final settlement of your hospital stay will be made whenyou are discharged from the hospital. Payment can be made by card or cash. Any overpayment will be reimbursed according to your instructions. After discharge from the hospital, you can make an appointment for one free check-up visit.

Dear Patients,
we would like to inform you that the three-level car park located opposite the entrance to the Hospital has narrow passages. Therefore, it can be difficult to manoeuvre (especially larger vehicles). In this situation, we recommend to use the external car park, which has 117 parking spaces and is located at the back of the building.
